Welcome to Casio Education’s on-demand training centre
Build confidence using Casio technology, with practical demonstrations, real classroom examples, and techniques that support students in lessons and exams — all in short modules you can complete at your own pace.

NEW fx-CG50 on-demand
By following this course you will learn how to use the fx-CG50 effectively and efficiently. The course is designed to be a hands-on and practical demonstration of features for teaching, learning and examining at A-Level Mathematics.
It is also suitable for those teaching other advanced courses such as AQA Level 2 Mathematics, Edexcel Level 2 Mathematics, OCR FSMQ and Core Maths where students will benefit significantly from having their own fx-CG50 for learning and exams.

The benefits of the course
• Separation of handset use into clearly defined modules.
• Each module is split into sessions covering general use and mathematical topics.
• Clear and concise video resources for easy viewing on any device.
• Ease of access to both on-demand and supporting Casio resources.
• Completion of the course is at your own pace.
•Opportunity to check use of the handset in each session
• There are post-session questions, designed to allow you to consolidate your newly accumulated practical knowledge.
• Completion of modules can be in any order, allowing easy tie-in to schemes of work.
• Linked to the UK Curriculum.
• End of module quiz confirms your handset useability, with multiple attempts allowed.

Why use fx-CG50?
The benefits of using an fx-CG50 for teaching, learning and examining are numerous.
Teaching and Learning
• Student discussion of concepts and participation in learning strategies can be improved.
• Manipulation and visualisation of problems is easily achieved by individuals.
Instilling confidence in students
• The ability to approach problems in different ways, such as graphically and numerically, to embed deeper understanding, e.g. to check and distinguish the difference between numerical integration and finding areas enclosed by functions.
•Ease of checking exact solutions to trigonometric/polynomial/simultaneous equations.
• The option to analyse and quickly check the key features of a graphed function.
Advantageous on key topics
• Easy to plot and analyse various graphs e.g. polynomial, trigonometric, modulus, parametric and 3D.
• Significant advantages in Binomial/Normal Probability Distribution calculation/sketching.
• Multiple approaches to solving equations – including Trigonometric, Simultaneous equations and multi-variable e.g. SUVAT
• The ability to make graphical links between functions when using calculus.
