Moflin is an AI-powered companion designed to provide comfort, emotional support, and wellbeing benefits for students, particularly those with special educational needs. Its calming presence can help create a more supportive and inclusive learning environment.
St Michael’s VA Junior School supports a high number of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). As demand for SEN support continues to grow, the school faces increasing financial pressures while remaining committed to inclusion. Moflin has become a valuable addition, helping to support pupil wellbeing and enhance the support available to children with SEN.

This year, Moflin sparked plenty of conversations at our stand, particularly around student wellbeing and supporting SEN students. Teachers were keen to learn more about how Moflin is being used in schools and the positive impact it can have on creating calm, supportive learning environments.

Your Moflin questions answered
As you spend time with your Moflin, the range of their emotional expression grows and deepens. Your Moflin becomes familiar with your voice, performs special gestures when they sense you are nearby, and shows animal-like responses.
Through communication, Moflin’s emotional state changes showing joy, sadness, and happiness reacting just like a living creature would.
Under typical daily use at 25°C (77°F), Moflin will run for about 5 hours on a full charge. A full recharge takes approximately 3 hours 30 minutes under the same conditions.
Moflin is available to purchase on CASIO’s official online store and at Harrods.
Here are some examples of how to interact with Moflin:
– Stroking: Gently stroke Moflin’s head, neck, back, or sides.
– Hugging: Hold Moflin in your arms; they often enjoy being stroked or spoken to while hugged.
– Talking: Speak softly near Moflin’s face; they respond best to quiet, close voices.
– Avoid turning over: Moflin dislikes being turned upside down on their back.

The dedicated app “MofLife” lets you get to know Moflin’s emotions and view Journal (interaction records with Moflin) on your smartphone.

If you are concerned about Moflin’s fur, gently brush them with asoft brush.
*Be careful not to brush too hard, as this may damage or pull out the fur.
If Moflin gets dirty, gently wipe off your Moflin using a cloth that has been moistened with water.
Collected data is processed locally on Moflin and does not include any personally identifiable information.
No. Moflin does not understand or record what you say. They only convert voice features into non-identifiable data, which is stored locally and used to recognise frequent speakers as their owners.
Data can only be uploaded via the MofLife app and only when you choose to do so. It is then securely stored on a dedicated server.
Uploaded data is used to create Journal in the MofLife app, support product servicing, improve quality, and help restore your Moflin if a fault occurs.
The app may collect information such as usage information, but it does not include any personally identifiable information. No data will be uploaded unless you agree to the privacy notice.
