AMSP x Casio Education Tour

Providing training and support on the fx-CG50 and ClassWiz calculator.

This autumn we will be touring the country with the AMSP to provide training and support to schools using the fx-CG50 and the new ClassWiz range of calculators.

Casio Education will be present at a series of AMSP teacher network events, delivering CPD and product specific training designed to give you the skills and knowledge to maximise learning in the classroom with Casio calculators.

Below you will find details of the planned events. To sign up for an AMSP event please contact your local AMSP coordinator or use the event links shown below alongside each event’s information. If you cannot find a session in your area, please keep checking this page as more dates continue to be added throughout the Autumn term.

Confirmed events

Lancaster, Wednesday 29th November 2023, 16:00 – 17:00

This 1 hour in-person session, presented by Simon May will look at the benefits of graphing technology throughout a student’s learning journey, focusing on Key Stage 4 and GCSE Mathematics.

Berkshire, Thursday 28th September 2023, 16:15 – 17:45

This session is a mixture of interactive discussion and speaker-led training. The session will be facilitated by Simon May.

Exeter, Tuesday 3rd October 2023, 17:00 – 18:30

This session will focus on the use of calculators and show the effective and efficient ways to use the Classwiz and fx-CG50 calculators

Newcastle, Wednesday 4th October 2023, 12:30 – 15:45

This event is for teachers of maths to meet, to collaborate and to share professional development. Casio will be doing a presentation on the fx-CG50 at 1:20.

Staffordshire, Tuesday 7th November 2023, 13:00 – 15:30

A half-day face to face PD event introducing the Casio fx-CG50 graphical calculator for A-level Mathematics. Led by a Casio Ambassador, the training will focus on the efficient use of the Casio fx-CG50 graphical calculator.
