Area Between a Curve and a Line

This activity asks learners to sort a set of four cards in order of the size of the shaded region. In each case, the area is bounded by a quadratic or cubic graph and a line. The regions may extend both sides of the x-axis allowing for discussion about signed area and efficient ways of splitting regions if necessary.
