Parametric Equations

This activity begins with creating a table of values for two parametric graphs and space for an example of how to obtain the Cartesian equation from the parametric equations. There is a matching exercise with eight drawn graphs to be matched to either the parametric form of the equation, the Cartesian  form or both. The extension task allows learners to play to create a family of graphs using x = Acosθ + Bcos3θ, y = Asinθ + Bsin3θ.
